Lacey
Doctors Note:
This is an x-ray of our feline friend Lacey. Lacey had a chronic nasal infection which would not respond to antibiotics. We had a bit of a surprise when we took this radiograph. What we see here is a steel needle deep in the nasal cavity. Dr. Nickerson had to remove a flap of bone to retrieve the needle. After a brief recovery period, she has done well.
Marie
Doctors Note:
This is Marie. Marie is our second snake bite of the summer. Although Marie’s bite is not as serious as some, it could have been fatal. After examining Marie, we prescribed antibiotics, medication for pain, and a anti-inflammatory. She stayed overnight for observation. Some snake bites will require us to administer I.V. fluids as well as an anti-venom injection, which is quite costly.
